The Citizens Involvement Committee (CIC) is a non-profit corporation open to property owners of Reynolds Lake Oconee and Reynolds Landing.  Members of the committee share a common interest in the activities and actions of Greene County Government as well as local and state regulatory agencies as they affect member’s property and life style.  It is our intention to be a positive influence in shaping policies and initiatives to meet community needs and accommodate change.

The committee has the following purpose:
  • To monitor and communicate constructively with county government and regulatory bodies.
  • To promote member and community awareness of local issues.
  • To encourage voter registration and participation in local government.
  • To identify community needs where our members could provide beneficial assistance, resources and support. 
As a member you will receive a quarterly newsletter detailing the latest information regarding the Board of Commissioners, Education, Health Services, Environment, Fire and Safety, Taxes, Planning, Development and Zoning, and Political.

Additionally, we have an annual meeting with cocktails in January and a Bar-B-Q dinner in May.  At each gathering we will have a program concerning the community. For example topics of these meetings recently have included discussion of route 44 expansion, fire and safety in Reynolds, messages/ programs from Greene County Sherriff, new deveopments / services at Good Samaritan Hospital and developments at Greene County School System. During the election season we also have forums to introduce the candidates.

We welcome new members throughout the year. Membership dues are from January - December. The dues are used to subsidize the January and May meeting and the two scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from LOA and Greene County High School. 
 
All this for just a mere $30.00/year per household.  Membership: We are “the Best Deal in Town”!!!
